One of my absolute favourite things about Bristol is that one minute, you can be in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city centre; the next (well, maybe the next after fifteen minutes) you can be staring over rolling hills and blue skies as far as the eye can see. One of my favourite things about Bristol is that as much as you like to think you know the city, there is always something new to discover. I’d heard of The Square before, and I think even been to a work party in its Christmas Grotto one year, but I had no idea that it had its own restaurant with a pretty bangin’ menu. A couple of weeks ago, I went along with some blogging friends to try it for myself.
When an email plopped into my inbox asking if I’d like to go and see the redesign of the Mercure Bristol Grand Hotel and their brand new restaurant, Keepers, I was intrigued. I’d visited it previously a few years ago and had a perfectly pleasant evening there, but with the promise of Victorian architecture mixed with Bristol’s vibrant street-art scene and a relaxed restaurant vibe, I was looking forward to seeing how they’d given it a fresh new look.
