Christmas at Swoon

If you were in Bristol at all over the summer, you would have heard tell of Swoon Gelato. Sat at the bottom of Park Street, overlooking College Green, Swoon quickly gained cult status in the city with its ever-changing flavours and mouth-watering combos, and I was totally obsessed. But gelato isn’t just for soaring temperatures, so, on the coldest night of the year so far, I made my way to this ice-cream lover’s haven to find out what they have in store for us for Christmas.

Launch Party: barrecore

I was terrible at ballet when I was small. I mean, really terrible. I remember prancing around our school hall thinking I was about to become the next Billy Elliot, before catching sight of myself in the mirror and thinking that maybe I would stick with swimming after all. So when I was invited to try barrecore, the ballet-inspired fitness class that has spread across London like wildfire, I thought it might be time to once more try and gain some elegance whilst working out.

Launch Party: Turtle Bay

Everyone knows that Thursday night is the new Friday night, so it was no surprise that there was already a queue when we arrived at the launch party of the new Turtle Bay venue. Fitting perfectly into the hustle and bustle of Cheltenham Road, the Turtle Bay team have expanded their Bristol offering in the building that once was Plantation, keeping its Caribbean roots but putting their own spin on things.
