BATH IN FASHION 2016: What’s Happening

Bath in Fashion is just around the corner, and I can’t wait! As you may know from my blogger’s day photo round-up, I’ve been lucky enough to see some of the behind-the-scenes action on the run up to the big day, as well as all the deets on the exciting things that will be happening. I’ll be jumping on the train and heading over on Thursday 21st April for BIF LIVE, which is potentially the biggest fashion and shopping day of the year here in the South West. Here’s my pick of the best events:

jollysI’m heading straight to Jolly’s for another NARS makeover and their VIP shopping event with Woman & Home magazine. Sue James and Julia May Morgan are going to be there (I am beyond excited to meet the editorial team behind such a fab mag!) giving out expert advice on shopping the season. Plus, there will of course be bubbly, treats and discounts – there’s no better way to start the day!

Milsom-Place_970x330px_Banner_AWMilsom Place really is the go-to place for independent designers, which is such an important part of the fashion industry. Throughout the day you can pop in to meet the designers – I’m heading straight to Chanii B Shoes to see the lovely Chantal Pilon. She has a pair of iridescent boots with my name on them!

xshirts1-workshop-with-seasalt-at-bath-in-fashion-2016.jpg.pagespeed.ic.LyFnzmlm1OThen it’s off to Seasalt for their embellishment workshop – who doesn’t love a personalised nautical top! I love it when my passions for craft and fashion come together in one beautiful sailor shirt. You can join me and book into the event now here!

xvogue-colouring-book-imageanthrobif-live.jpg.pagespeed.ic.7SttArpZtsThe creativity/fashion mash-up continues with Vogue Colouring Book writer Iain R Webb leading in a large-scale colouring extravaganza at Anthropologie (as if I needed an excuse to make a visit and lust over the beautiful homeware!). Colouring is supposed to be good for the mind and soul, and when you’re colouring vintage Vogue images, it must also be good for the fashion senses.

85564f_ec395ed6374743faba347c390011815eZandra Rhodes is an absolute icon of fashion and design, so it’s pretty incredible that she and her wonderful pink hair are hosting a pop-up shop at Blue in the Loft. She’ll have her SS16 collection in tow as well for perusal and wishlist making.

60e612_d9fa35936c774bb580d9183de5a1b339I’ll be finishing off the day with – what else? – cocktails! The Tipsy Botanists are hosting a fashion-fuelled pop-up bar outside Grace & Ted, offering delicious cocktails against a backdrop of the most iconic catwalk shows in fashion history.

There’s also loads of amazing discount events on everyone’s favourite high street brands in SouthGate Bath, Debenhams and Milsom Place,  so don’t forget to pop in on your dash around the city – if you can fit it all in!

After all that, if you see me nodding off on the train on the way back home, please wake me up at Bristol and compliment my Seasalt t-shirt.
