Beauty Review: Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

Untitled

A few weeks ago, I got an email from the lovely people at Birchbox, asking me to choose between two boxes for October. The choice was tough, but I went for the Back to Basics box as my everyday make up could definitely do with a revamp.

Amongst the exciting range of products, tucked into the little navy box, was the Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

Now, I am known as being somewhat of an over-exaggerator (yep, I even just exaggerated the idea of being an exaggerator). But today, I am channeling every inch of sincerity as tell you that this product has actually changed my life.

I have long been in the pursuit of having beautifully manicured nails every day. In the office, I am one of the only girls to not have achieved this dream. But I never seem to have the time to actually let my nails set, leaving me with indents or duvet imprints, and with my weekly routine combining dog walking, climbing and weightlifting, my nail varnish always ends up in tatters within a couple of days.

I thought I’d found the solution in my SensatioNail kit that I reviewed last month, but the time and effort involved again rendered it unhelpful, so I started to think the dream would remain unrealised forever.

Until, on one unsuspecting Friday, I used Seche Vite for the first time. I painted my nails pink for Big Pink Day, and then gave the top coat a go, not really expecting much. Within ten minutes my nails were beautifully shiny and I was able to touch and press my nails without leaving a trace. After about an hour they were fully set and boy did they last – I found myself actually having to make an excuse to take the nail varnish off to change colour at the end of the week, rather than resorting to it after a few days.

Since then I’ve been testing it out a little more – the best time to apply is definitely about half an hour before bed, giving it time to dry before you tuck your dainty pointers under the duvet.

I literally can’t recommend this product enough; there is nothing quite as lovely as having beautifully-painted nails and Seche Vite has finally allowed my dream to become a reality. The price varies online from £3.90 to £11, but even at the higher end of the market, it is fantastic value. Give it a whirl and enjoy your new nails!

I can’t live without Seche Vite! I’ve never had a topcoat that dries so quick!
